In September, Gardner attended the IMPACT 12 international multidisciplinary printmaking conference hosted by The Centre for Print Research, at the University of the West of England, Bristol, UK. It was the perfect way to start sabbatical activities surrounded by innovative printmakers from around the world, and to meet up with old friends and colleagues after the pandemic hiatus. The focus was upon listening to each other's voices, and there were several exciting print exhibitions and panels to inspire! A brief time researching historical artifacts and buildings in the port city of Bristol also proved to be worthwhile.
