On March 25, the United Nations marked International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade. In a post on its social media platforms, the Barbados National Art Gallery stated that it "joins the world in remembrance, and reflection on the role artists in the Caribbean have in preserving memories of trauma, resistance and resilience so that we never forget this brutal system and that the fight continues against its violent legacies of racism that still exists in society today." It is an honour to have my work reproduced in this announcement.
