Gardner participated in Philip Hoffman's Independent Imaging Retreat (Film Farm) in July. This unique workshop experience was as inspiring as it was magical! Working with weeds and flowers to hand process black and white 16mm film, we embraced the Film Farm's experimental hands-on research methodology under the guidance of six very generous leaders. The other participating artists were Yuula Benivolski, Sonya Mwambu, Tram Nghiem, Natalka Pucan, Morgan Sears-Williams, Daphne Xu, and Adrian Kahgee.
